Uneducated or Unethical?

Uneducated or unethical? You decide

Mistakes can be made. We try our best to give you the easiest option for having your HVAC system running. Sometimes in our area however, we follow behind other contractors much too consitently for all of these to be simple mistakes. Here are a few of the calls we have followed behind another company near us to offer a much cheaper and simpler solution then what was proposed by the opposing companies.

Above is a violation that was previously listed right here in Sabine County of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. At the time of these violations being displayed on the search feature on the TDLR website, the contractor held 2nd place for being the most prolific A/C Contractor violator of the TDLR. This violation is now not publicly displayed, however if you would like to confirm from the TDLR themselves, you can go to their website and request a copy.

We were called to give a second bid to a customer. We asked to look at the condemned system prior to replacement or giving the bid, since in our experience, systems that have been condemned have not always needed replacement. This was the case at this call. Customer was issued a bid for a replacement compressor or a complete new system totaling thousands of dollars. We looked at the system and all we found were control wires presumably removed by the previous technician. Doug reattached the control wires again and the system was running. Once we had the system running again we were able to diagnose a dirty air filter as the only issue.

Testimonial from a customer who was told that they had multiple leaks in their evaporator coil. We found a singular leak at the filter drier on their lineset. Our repair bill was much less expensive then the bid issued for a replacement evaporator.

Another testimonial from another satisfied customer. The other contractor told the Dr. that a system replacement was needed. We replaced a contactor and the system ran just fine after that.

We were called to give a second opinion on a bid that was given for a new condenser. After a good cleaning, the condenser ran with no issue.

Homeowner was told they needed to spend 12,000 for a new system. We found the burnt wire and a dirty condenser.

We repaired the wire, and washed the condenser, and the unit was running just fine afterwards.

Homeowner was issued a bid to replace unit due to high levels of carbon monoxide. We cleaned the burner assembly and adjusted the flame. Reading shown is taken from flue of the system.  40 PPM (parts per million)  which is cleaner then the air in certain parts of LA.

A local American Standard dealer would not go out to perform service on a unit that they had put in that was still under warranty so we were called. In our experience, American Standard (Trane) units often have a leaky evaporator coil, which is why we stopped selling them. This was the case here even though the unit was only a year and a half old. The coil was leaking and we performed an evaporator coil replacement in place of the absent installer.
